Campolindo High of California placed second in the girls varsity race at the De La Salle/Carondelet NIKE Invitational at Newhall Park in Concord by a 50-82 margin against Los Altos. Junior Shea Volkmer covered the 3-mile course in 18:06.9 to finish fifth, senior Ellie Buckley was ninth in 18:27.0 and junior Kate Kabenina took 61st in 20:31.3 for Campolindo, which had five scorers in the top 35 overall.
